Moda Modular Housing
Fast and precise with prefabricated modules
A 48-unit housing block built in nine months from prefabricated timber-steel modules, wrapped in a brise-soleil façade.
Place and climate
The design began with a year-long sun and wind study on site. The massing is oriented to shield the afternoon western sun while admitting low winter sun.
Materials
Local stone, light render and high-thermal-mass slabs store the night's coolness and release it during the day.
